Musumba who made a grand entry in her hometown of Kamuli in the Eastern Region was accorded a heroic reception that saw dozens of her supporters lie down in turns to form a human carpet for her to walk on.

In video clips that have since gone viral on social media, Musumba had two bodyguards who walked beside her while holding her hands to ensure she remains stable as she steps on the backs of her subjects.

Those who had their backs stepped on by the politician woke up swiftly and proceeded to elongate the queue of the human carpet by laying ahead of her again. Another group was spotted standing side by side clapping and cheering their leader.

Musumba is one of the candidates in the race for Kamuli Municipality MP. She served as the MP for Bugabula South between 1996- 2001 and also chaired Kamuli District from 2012 to 2016.

She describes herself as a dependable politician who speaks her mind and a woman of ideas who believes in personal responsibility and political freedom.

“I love politics; it is an opportunity to change people’s lives forever in an hour. You can seat in Parliament and pass a policy that can empower people’s lives forever,” she said as posted on her Facebook page.
