The Vice President of the Republic of Uganda, H.E. Jessica Alupo, has rallied the people of Soroti City to put aside their political and tribal differences and emphasise the socio-economic transformation of their society.

”Let this election bring us together, let us continue on the path of socioeconomic transformation and services for our people, and let Soroti be known for its foresight as we head to the polls,” H.E. Alupo said.

Alupo made the call while campaigning for National Resistance Movement (NRM) flagbearer, Hon Herbert Edmund Ariko, in Otatai, Acetgwen, and Opiai Wards, all in Soroti City East. She was accompanied by ministers and members of Parliament, including; General Jeje Odong, Hon. Musa Echweru, Asamo Helen, Hon. Adoa Helen, Hon. Okasai Opolot, and Hon. Akello Lilly.

She urged Teso residents to vote for leaders who will lobby and advocate for better services.

“The people of Teso should vote for leaders with lobbying capabilities that will link them to the government for better service delivery,” she noted.

The NRM National Chairman, H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, is on Monday, July 25th expected in Soroti City, where he will canvass support for the party flagbearer.
