Arua: According to a letter making rounds on various social media platforms, Arua Resident City Commissioner-RCC, Alice Akello Opio who is actually serving under the office of the president is on ‘knees begging’ for fuel from the Indian Community in Arua.
The letter reveals that the fuel is to enable area security to effectively carry out festive season operations kicking off from 1st December 2021.
On top of a juicy budget allocated to the Ministry of Presidency and Ministry of Security, in her 12th November 2021 letter, RCC cries to Indians thus;
”As you are aware some parts of the country have been hit by terrorists. Arua City, being a business hub in the region, with a bee-híve of activities, and a high crime rate is not an exception. Therefore there is a need to beef up security in the City and border areas during this festive season.
The purpose of this letter is to humbly request you to support our security with fuel to ease the operations that will start from 1″ December 2021. Thanking you in advance for your continued support.”
