The Pan-African Pyramid has issued a strong condemnation of recent U.S. and Israeli military strikes against Iran, warning that the escalation risks undermining international law and destabilizing global security.

In a statement released Sunday morning, the organization described the attacks as an example of “imperial aggression” and a continuation of what it called a troubling pattern of unilateral military action by powerful nations.

Andrew Irumba Katusabe Ateenyi, Founding Speaker and Chairman of the Pan-African Pyramid, said the strikes represent a dangerous shift away from diplomacy.

“The continued normalization of pre-emptive warfare by powerful nations has become one of the greatest threats to peace in the modern world,” Irumba said. “What we are witnessing is not the defense of global security, but the erosion of international law through selective enforcement and military dominance.”

Irumba argued that sovereign states that resist geopolitical pressure are often subjected to sanctions, destabilization efforts, or direct military intervention.

“No nation, regardless of its military or economic strength, has the moral authority to determine which governments may exist and which must fall,” he said. “International treaties and diplomatic norms cannot remain binding only upon weaker states while powerful actors operate with impunity.”

The statement placed the current crisis within a broader historical context, referencing interventions in countries such as Libya and Iraq, as well as ongoing instability in parts of Africa and the Middle East. It argued that many such interventions, often framed as democracy promotion or peacekeeping, have led instead to fractured societies and prolonged insecurity.

Irumba also criticized the foreign policy posture of U.S. President Donald Trump, warning that escalating confrontation over diplomacy risks wider global conflict.

“Leadership that embraces escalation over dialogue is not only a danger to the targeted nation; it is a danger to humanity,” he said. “Africa and the Global South must stand united in demanding a world governed by justice, equality among nations, and genuine respect for self-determination.”

The Pan-African Pyramid called on governments, civil society organizations, and international institutions to reaffirm multilateral dialogue and peaceful dispute resolution as non-negotiable principles.

Concluding his remarks, Irumba emphasized solidarity across borders.

“A threat to humanity anywhere is a danger to humanity everywhere. Peace cannot be built through bombs, sanctions, or regime change. It can only emerge from mutual respect and adherence to international law applied equally to all.”
