Youth Should Use Available Resources To Create Jobs-Dr. Tumusiime

Sheema, Uganda: The youth in Uganda have been urged to use  resources available to them to create own jobs, instead of waiting for government or other private employers to employ them.

Dr. Benon Tumusiime, a skilling trainer, revealed this while addressing youths  at a skilling workshop that took place on January 26th,  2019 at Sheema Veterinary Training Institute in Masheruka Town Council, Sheema district . Dr. Tumusiime advised youths to use soil which is available everywhere and plant crops like cabbages and other vegetables from which they can get income for capital.  “You should use your brains to create your own jobs. If you create your own jobs, you can’t be even tempted to apply for jobs in government, which are very scarce.”

Tonny Kashaaki, a young entrepreneur, advised youths that if they want to succeed in today’s world, they should use common sense instead of concentrating on only western theoretic education. He added that they should stop throwing away rubbish saying that what they term as rubbish  are raw materials to him. He promised to train at no cost all willing youths to learn how to make bags, watches, files and papers from banana fibers.  Kabutsye ward youth councilor Robert Matsiko, the organiser of the youth skilling workshop, advised youths to use their time profitably instead of spending time in betting and other things that are not developmental.
