TheSpy Uganda has learnt that the artists are planning to quit the country tonight.

After their arrest, the singers were on Monday, December 14 arraigned in court on charges of doing “acts that are likely to cause the spread of infectious disease Covid-19.”

They were to remain in custody until Wednesday, December 16 before another court appearance, however, later the court made a swift decision to release them today under unknown reasons.

A release order signed by Grade One Magistrate Okumu Jude Muwone confirmed the release of both artistes as seen below;

The development came after musician turned politician Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu revealed that he has set off his legal team to ensure that Omah Lay receives justice.

He noted, “As I announced today, my lawyers joined in representing Omah_Lay, Tems & the Ugandans charged. Delighted to see the illegal & unfair charges dropped! Evidence that voices matter, that PEOPLE POWER can force the people in power to act. We must never underestimate our potential!”
