Luwero: The latest update landing on our investigative desk is that self-proclaimed Princess of Buganda Kingdom Nnalinya Bwanga who was arrested last week over a couple of charges among them including for impersonating State House anti-corruption staff, has scooped a chance to feed on government food at Kigo Prison till 13th September 2021.
Nnambi was arrested by State House Anti Corruption Unit Boss, Col Edith Nakalema on August 26 and detained at Kikyusa Police cells before she was transferred to Kampala Central Police Station.
Today, Nnambi was taken back to the crime scene area and arraigned before Luweero Chief Magistrate Court where she pleaded not guilty and applied for bail which Court trashed and remanded her to Kigo prison.
According to Court documents chanced on by our spy, Bwanga is accused of engaging in dubious land transactions while impersonating as a State House staff contrary to section 381 of the Penal Code Act (PCA).
Buganda Denounces ‘Its Princess’
Few hours after Nakalema arresting Bwanga who claimed to be a princess, Buganda Kingdom swiftly trashed her claims noting that she has never been a royal member of the Buganda Kingdom.
Kingdom Lawyer David Mpanga and Lt.Gen Proscovia Nalweyiso told our sources that Bwanga has never been part of the known Buganda Princesses.
“Upon her arrest, I got guidance from Lt.Gen.Nalweyiso that Bwanga has never been part of the known Buganda Princesses. That’s why we decided to transfer her to Kampala for further interrogation,” Col Nakalema told our reporter via WhatsApp chat.
