Kampala: The UPDF family with sadness has lost another senior officer the Acting Chief of Administration and Personnel Brig-Gen Emmanuel Mulindwa-TheSpy Uganda reports.
According to UPDF Spokesperson Brigadier-General Byekwaso, Mulindwa passed on at Mulago Referral Hospital last night at 1600hrs although she could not confirm the cause of his death.
However, according to our sources from Mulago, where he had been rushed over the weekend, the deceased had numerous signs similar to those of COVID-19 patients.
“We join the family in grief at this trying moment and pray for God’s strength. MAGRIP,” Byekwaso tweeted.
Meanwhile, according to the Ministry of Health, results of COVID-19 tests done on 17 November 2020 confirmed 342 new cases bringing cumulative cases to 16,905 and 157 deaths.
The breakdown of the new cases are: 342 contacts and alerts: Kampala (262), Kasese (25), Wakiso (14), Jinja (13), Mbarara (9), Buvuma (5), Luwero (4), Mukono (3), Kabarole (2), Kiryandongo (2), Masindi (2), Ntoroko (1).
Mulindwa’s death comes after that of retired Col Shaban Bantariza who passed on at Mulago hospital last month over COVID-19 and laid to rest at his ancestral home in Kagorogoro cell, Mitooma district.
