COVID-19:Shanghai Restaurant Kampala Closes Operations After 30yrs Of Service

Kampala: Shanghai Restaurant also known as Shangri-La Hotel has officially announced that it has on 31, August 2020 closed its branch of Shanghai Restaurant Kampala Nakasero.

The restaurant which had served Ugandans for almost 30 years, could not be spared by the deadline COVID-19 pandemic effects-according to the notice issued by the management.

“We have provided high-quality Chinese food for close to 30 years and been an enthusiastic part of the community but due to the harsh effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on the business, the restaurant is closing down,” notice read.

“SHANGHAI RESTAURANT NOTICE OF CLOSURE

Dear Valued Customer, the purpose of this letter is to notify you that Shanghai Restaurant located at Nakasero in Kampala Club will be closing on August 31, 2020.

We have provided high quality chinese food for close to 30 years and been an enthusiastic part of the community but due to the harsh effects of COVID-19 pandemic on the business, the restaurant is closing down.

We thank you for your kind and loyal patronage and for making Shanghai Restaurant one of the town’s most popular eating establishments over the years.

Our Muyenga branch will remain open for your reservations and orders for Chinese and Continental cuisines, including space for any kind of functions but while observing the COvID-19 preventive guidelines.
