Food For Soul: Will Heaven Receive You With “Well Done My Good & Faithful Servant?”

Food For Soul: Will Heaven Receive You With “Well Done My Good & Faithful Servant?”

By Apostle Nixon Segawa

As many are dying and retiring from the works of this world, it is time to remember that they are retiring to meet their creator and our creator the almighty God who expects us to give an accountability of the life we live here on earth.

While walking on earth, we most of the time tend to forget that the life we live is not our own, we forget that we are like a pot that was made for a certain purpose which we must fulfill or else we face judgement.

Genesis 1:28 (KJV) – “And God blessed them (Man and Woman), and God said unto them, be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.”

You and me were created to make the earth a better place and it’s our mandate to see that whoever lives under the earth lives a comfortable, rich and satisfying life glorifying God.

For God to have that achieved, he decided to give each and everyone of us special abilities, wisdom and talents that if we tap into them, we can draw solutions to challenges of life.

To some, he gave the ability to make vehicles that would ease movement, wisdom to make drugs and vaccinations to save many from diseases and infections, business ideas and ventures for many to earn a livelihood, to sing and nourish the hearts of many, to play different games and have many entertained.

Beloved you were created for a purpose not just to live on earth as a flower that is today and tomorrow it’s no more. You must discover your mandate and your legacy lies there. Many people are continuing to suffer just because you haven’t tapped into your potential, God is counting on you to make this earth a better place for all humanity.

Talking of death makes me ponder on whether we are ready to face the master and give accountability of the potential, wisdom and talents that he entrusted us with. Will heaven welcome you by saying, “Well done, my good and faithful servant” or will you be kicked away?

Jesus in the gospel according to Mathew in Chapter 25 from verse 14 addresses this subject by giving a parable of the three servants, two of which traded with the bags of silver that were given to them while the other one chose to hide the one silver bag that was given to him.

The two were appreciated by their master (Mathew 25:21,23) and were celebrated but the other servant was rebuked and thrown into the outer darkness where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth (Mathew 25:30).

If we are to gauge in terms of percentage what’s your mark in line with your divine mandate, purpose and calling. Yes you are a pilgrim on earth but you are not just a passer-by, God wants you to rise and do His mandate upon your life for betterment of humanity and a lifetime legacy.
