FUFA Meets National Council Of Sports As Monitoring & Evaluation Of National Federations Kick Off

Kampala: The Federation of Ugandan Football-FUFA has today welcomed a team from the National Council of Sports of Uganda (NCS-Uganda) as they started a monitoring and evaluation exercise of National Federations.

NCS was led by, NCS Assistant General Secretary, David Katende while Deputy CEO-Governance Sam Bakiika welcomed the visitors on behalf of FUFA.

“NCS has today set out for the Monitoring & Evaluation Exercise of National Sports Associations from the 15th -22nd March 2021,” said NCS.

The exercise kicked off in motion with a visit to University Sports UG in Mengo where the NCS Team were received by the Association’s President, Peninnah Kabenge Aligawesa before proceeding to the offices of FUFA.

These come after recognizing FUFA in 2018 as the best-run federation by both NCS and Uganda Sports Press Associations (USPA).

According to Dr. Patrick Ogwel an official from NCS, this particular exercise will help the council evaluate the level of sports to establish what the 51 National Sports Associations have delivered for themselves & whether they are operating within the confines and requirements of the Sports Statutory Instruments.

From FUFA, the council visited other associations including;

• Uganda Weightlifting Association

• Uganda Wrestling Association

• Uganda Judo Association

• Uganda Deaf Sport Federation

•Golf Union • Uganda Canoe-Kayak Association
