Former Minister of Defence and Veterans Affairs in the recently concluded term, Adolf Kasaija Mwesige despite serving in government since 1996, is now crying to President of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for a job after being ousted in the new cabinet.

According to the letter seen by TheSpy Uganda, Mwesige goes ahead to show the president where he can deploy him saying he received what he calls reliable information that there are vacancies of chairperson and other commissioners in the Uganda Human Rights Commission which he thinks is the perfect candidate for those jobs.

”In my letter to Your Excellency dated 2 October 2020, I had informed you of my decision to quit elective politics and serve the Government in any capacity that your excellency will find appropriate to deploy me in the years to come. I have received reliable information that there are vacancies of Chairperson and other Commissioners in
the Uganda Human Rights Commission which Your Excellency is mandated to fill under Article 51 (2) of the Constitution,” says Mwesige in a letter to President Museveni.

”Your excellency I have the academic qualifications and requisite experience to qualify for appointment to any of the above positions either the chairperson or a member of the commission. I have attached my Curriculum Vitae for your use of reference,” adds Mwesige.

Meanwhile, some political pundits have since accused Mwesige of being politically ill and too greedy for government offices if he can reach the extent of kneeling for Museveni to employ him despite serving in government for decades without mercy for educated youths who are currently struggling with unemployment.
