Banda Palace, Uganda: The president of the republic of Uganda His Excellency President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni visited the Kabaka of Buganda kingdom Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II at his palace in Banda, today February 5th, 2019.
The President reached Banda palace a few minutes to midday and was welcomed by Kabaka Mutebi, who introduced a few Buganda officials to him, amongst them Prince David Wasajja. After meeting the Buganda officials, Museveni and Kabaka Mutebi were ushered into a tent where they engaged in private talks.
Shortly after the visit, President Museveni wrote on social media thus; “I paid a courtesy call on my brother, His Highness Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi, at his palace in Banda, Wakiso District. I thank him for the invitation. We held a cordial meeting where we agreed that all pending issues involving the kingdom’s property, land and financial arrears be resolved soonest. I thank the Kabaka for the hospitality extended to my entourage and myself.”
