Russia Donates Trucks To Uganda To Help In Fight Against Locusts

By Peter Ssebulime

The government of Russia has donated a fleet of trucks to Uganda to help in the fight against desert locusts, which invaded the country a few weeks ago.

The five trucks, which were donated through the World Food Programme (WFP), reached Uganda on Wednesday and will help in the delivery of logistics to areas ravaged by locusts.

While handing over the trucks at their office in Nalukolongo, the head supply chain in World Food Programme in Uganda Oleh Maslyukov, said they have to join hands in fighting the locusts so that they don’t affect the entire country.
