School Director Cheats Death By Whisker After Iron-Bar Hit Squad Attack At Shoprite

Kampala: Yigga Sirajje, director Crane Media Institute in Nateete,  a Kampala surbab and News Now Uganda, an online outlet cheated death by a whisker on Tuesday after he was attacked by iron bar hit men along Entebbe road between Nakasero mosque and Shell Entebbe road in Kampala,just adjacent to Shoprite clocktower.

The incident happened at around 6:20am in the morning as he attempted to jump on a boda boda trying to beat jam to rush him to MUBS for his morning lectures,where he is doing his PhD degree.

“The attackers came from behind in a group of about 7, who seemed to be walking to different directions and didn’t seem to be together. However, as I jumped on aboda, one of them hit me hard with a blow on my cheek, before I could find out what was going on, another hit me in the back of my head with a suspected iron bar cracking my head. I don’t remember what followed next, I only woke-up to realize a certain good samaritan carrying me into Nakasero mosque, where they tried to give me first aide before they rushed me to Kibuli hospital,” he narrated.

Good enough, Doctors there confirmed few hours later that he was out of danger as his skull wasn’t damaged.

According to him, thugs took his two phones, bank check leafs among other personal items.

Earlier last week, another woman identified as Nyakahuma also posted on her Facebook how she was attacked at the very spot and robbed her clean. “Ooh sorry to your friend! That spot has become too dangerous nowedays, last week I was mugged down and robbed clean,in full glare of passers by,” she posted.

Sirajje is also former director to Fort Portal based defunct 93.3 Gold Fm (Empotole), which was later sold to city pastor Jackson Ssenyonga as a booster to his Top Radio.
