Kampala: Former Senior Presidential Press Secretary Joseph Tamale Mirundi has pleaded to former presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine and NUP/people power supporters to intensify on their hunt for security personnel identified as Iga whom he accuses of commanding a military officer to beat up and injure his son Tamale Mirundi Jnr leaving him unable to eat or talk for the next six months.
While on his knees in front of viewers live on STV’s “Embuga Show”, Tamale Mirundi Senior disclosed that his son is currently feeding through percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy tubes.
“I’m kneeling before you, I thank People Power supporters and my brother Bobi Wine who are hunting for the man called Yiga. This man comes from Gomba, this man abused the King of Buganda, he is a goon. One of his military soldiers is the one who beat up my son to the extent of breaking his jaw,” Mirundi said.
Seemingly angry Mirundi went ahead to reveal that Junior was severely beaten to the extent that his jaws were broken thus vowing to do the most possible to bring Yiga to the books of punished criminals.
Mirundi further cried out, “My son won’t be able to talk for the next 6 months, Please help, as I also use my intelligence machines to track down that man. Please look for that man, most of the time he is in lodges. Whoever beat my son, must suffer. Please help me, I’m an old man of 60 years, I have never knelt to ask for anything but this time round I have done so. Please look for that man who beat up my son and deal with him.”

He added, “That Yiga is a goon who committed a lot of atrocities in the recently climaxed 2021 general elections.”
Mirundi Jnr was attacked last Thursday night as he was on his way home. He was beaten to pulp and is currently hospitalized at one of the health facilities in town.
