We Opted Online Classes To Boost Uganda’s Education Amidst COVID-19-KPS Trashes Baseless Extortion Rumors

Kampala: The management of Kampala Parents, a private mixed primary school, has in strongest terms refuted what they called ‘baseless’ allegations of using online classes to extort parents which they say was actually innovated to keep their students served despite COVID-19 lockdown that led to the closure of schools.

This came after some local reports aforementioned that “a section of parents had complained about the cost of online classes being high”.

In response to the above however, the Principal Kampala Parents school, Ms,Daphne Kato noted that parents are actually very happy with the ongoing online classes via zoom since it is cheap compared to the normal studies that took a couple of expenses for a student to be at school.

Soft-spoken but face looking professional Daphne trashed rumours thus; “Our parents are very happy with our online classes program and the monthly cost was reached after consultations with all parties. Whatever propaganda circulating against is being crafted by our competitors.”

She added that the school actually enrolled more pupils from other schools for their online program because they couldn’t risk missing out to register since they couldn’t bear a dead year.

“It is so hard to believe that Kampala Parents’ School has enrolled thousands of students in this COVID period, and our popularity has increased because of our diligence in service and of course this causes heart attack to our competitors thus such rumours, but we are not moved, we are here to serve in all situations,” Ms, Daphne noted while interacting with our spy.

Kampala Parents’ school is on an international level but follows a local curriculum situated along Lugogo by-pass and has an enrollment of over 2500 pupils with 118 well-trained teachers and over 150 non-teaching staff members with pupils coming from all over the world.
