After a high flying performance in the Beach Soccer League opening games, St Lawrence fell to Buganda Royal BSC 5-4 at FUFA Technical Center, Njeru on matchday two.
St Lawrence won the two first games on Thursday beating Entebbe Sharks 13-4 and MUBS 10-6 respectively.
However, Friday was not a good day for them after falling slightly 5-4 to Buganda Royal who was seeking redemption from Thursday’s 6-5 loss to Mutoola BSC.
Buganda Royal had thumped MUBS 8-3 earlier on in the morning hours which means they have now won two out of the three played so far.
Buganda Royal goals were scored by Ambrose Kigozi (4), Hassan Luboyera (2), Ronald Magwali and Swaibu Kakwaya whereas Kasujja and Frank Bomboka scored for MUBS.
Elsewhere, Kiringente BSC drew 6-6 with Mutoola BSC in the first match early in the morning.
Chinonso Okello Rufus scored five 5-goals for Kiringente and the other goal was an own goal by Peter Mukwata while Faisal Ssekiti and Peter Mukwaya netted braces for Mutoola BSC and the other two goals were scored by Paul Nsenge and Herbert Luboyera.
In other games, Mutoola BSC demolished Entebbe sharks 13-7 later in the afternoon to go top of the table with seven points from three matches.
After losing to Buganda Royal, St Lawrence slides to second place with 6 points but still with the highest goals 12.
Swalleh Simbwa still leads the top scorers’ chart with ten goals 10, followed by teammate Sulaiman Ochero 8 and Mutoola’s Ssekiti and Abby Kavuma at seven 7.
The competition returns on Saturday 10th with four matches on matchday 3 ;
MUBS BSC Vs Kiringente BSC at 8:30am.
Entebbe Sharks BSC Vs Buganda Royal BSC at 12:00pm.
Mutoola BSC Vs MUBS BSC at 3:00pm.
St Lawrence BSC Vs Kiringente BSC at 4:30pm.
