Democratic Party (DP) Vice President and former East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) member Fred Mukasa Mbidde has announced the birth of his baby girl, sharing the joyous news with family, friends and supporters.
Mbidde revealed the arrival of his daughter through a heartfelt message posted on his official X account, introducing the newborn as Shatsi Nyonyozi Mbidde.
“Welcome to the family, baby girl, Shatsi Nyonyozi Mbidde, the very definition of benediction, benisons and beatitudes,” Mbidde wrote.
In the same message, the veteran politician paid tribute to his wife, Phiona Nayebale, thanking her for the journey to motherhood.
“Thank you, my Phiona, for the beautiful fight. Love you till death,” he added.
The announcement was met with an outpouring of congratulatory messages from politicians, friends and supporters, many wishing the newborn good health and blessings.
Mbidde and Phiona Nayebale were married in 2023 in a church wedding held at the Uganda Martyrs Basilica in Munyonyo, Kampala, attended by family members, political colleagues and invited guests.
The birth of baby Shatsi Nyonyozi marks a new chapter for the couple as they celebrate the expansion of their family.
Mbidde has been a prominent figure in Uganda’s political landscape, having served as a Member of the East African Legislative Assembly before assuming the role of Democratic Party Vice President. Congs to the Mbiddes!
