FDC’s Presidential Candidate Amuriat Pays Courtesy Visit To Buganda Kingdom

Kampala: The Forum for Democratic Change delegation led by the Party Presidential candidate Hon. Eng. Patrick Amuriat Oboi has today paid a courtesy visit to Buganda Kingdom at Bulange – Mengo in Kampala.

POA and delegation were received by Kingdom chiefs spearheaded by Prime Minister (Katikiro) Charles Peter Mayiga accompanied by Chris Bwanika the Kingdom Attorney General, Owek. Noah Kiyimba the Kingdom Spokesperson and Owek. Daudi Mpanga the Kingdom Protocol affairs minister.

Mayiga in his address, he thanked the FDC delegation for prioritizing Federal System of Government in the FDC manifesto and implored the FDC once it ascends to power to uphold the key 5 tenets of the Kingdom including protecting the institution of the Kingdom, federalism, securing the kingdom properties and boundaries, foster for social – economic development of the people of Buganda among others.

In his address, President Patrick Oboi Amuriat assured the Kingdom of total support to Mengo’s objectives and protection of Kabaka’s subjects.

During the event, Mayiga handed over a certificate worth 2 million and Kabaka birthday run kits worth 4 millions to Eng. Patrick Amuriat Oboi and applauded Amuriat And FDC for the good gesture of supporting the Kingdom.

Hon. POA was accompanied by the FDC Deputy President Owek. Joyce Nabbosa Ssebugwawo, the Party Chairman Owek. Amb. Wasswa Biriggwa, Nakawa Constituency MP Hon. Michael Kabaziguruka among others.
