Carter Jorine Karyn Declared Winner Of Victoria University Guild Elections

Carter Jorine Karyn has been declared Victoria University’s next guild president after flooring four male competitors.

According to the results released by the University’s Dean of Students, Mrs. Winfred Nassiwa, Carter got 914 votes and the four male candidates; Rwothomio Denis got 150 votes, Nakibinge Samuel garnered 528, Etomet Gilbert got 194 and Serebe Eugan got 134 votes.

Mrs Nassiwa says in two-day online electoral process that was carried out with a high-tech University online system the VClass, 1,924 students voted for their favorite candidates.

”Today, Ms. Carter Jorine Karyn has been declared the overall winner of the heated students’ guild elections for the year 2023-2024 as the Guild President-Elect of Victoria University with 914 votes accounting for 47.5% of the total votes cast,” Mrs Nassiwa stated.

She added, ”As University, we congratulate all the guild candidates who participated in the race and the whole students’ body for exercising the right to vote.

In her victory speech, Carter thanked students for supporting her into guild office and vowed to serve every one effortlessly.

 ”Leadership comes from God, and there is no doubt the Almighty has bestowed this position on me. I am lucky I am the chosen one; otherwise, all the four candidates I was contesting with are competent leaders. On that note, I would like to congratulate them for taking their chance and believing in limitless to come for this mighty battle of Guild presidency that I have won today,” said Carter.

She added, ”I want to pledge organized, upshifted, uncompressed, managerial, authentic leadership, dedicated service, and practical solutions to student issues. We, as team Carter, pledge cooperation with the university management to make all possible as we embrace VU’s tomorrow limitlessly. Being Guild President right now does not change who I am; it will reveal who I am,” vowed Carter.
