Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni and the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereign Council of Sudan, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan on Saturday held talks on the latter’s latest diplomatic trip abroad.
Al-Burhan was in Uganda in what officials described as a one-day working visit.
“They deliberated on bilateral and regional issues,” the Ugandan presidency said.
The Sudanese leader was accompanied by Foreign Affairs minister, Ali Al-Sadiq, and the Director of the General Intelligence Service, Ahmed Ibrahim Mufaddal.
Sudan has been at war since violent clashes broke out in the capital between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
According to the United Nations refugee agency (UNHCR), the number of internally displaced persons (IDPs) has almost doubled to at least 7.1 million people.
