City tycoon Sudhir Ruparelia has joined Rotary Club of Kiwatule and inducted as honorary member. The induction of Sudhir was conducted during Clubs’ fellowship held at the Kabira Country Club earlier this week.
This is not the first time Sudhir’s name is sounding in Rotary circles, in July this year the mogul made a donation of an ambulance to the Rotary Club of Nsangi and Shs10m to go towards the maternity ward of the hospital the club is fundraising for.
He also donated Shs10m towards Rotary’s efforts for the cancer ward at Nsambya Hospital.
Rotary is an international humanitarian service organization that brings together business and professional leaders in order to provide community service, promote integrity, and advance goodwill, peace, and understanding in the world. It is a non-political and non-religious organization. There are over 46,000 member clubs worldwide, with a membership of 1.4 million individuals, known as Rotarians.
Rotary causes globally include promoting peace, fighting disease, providing clean water, sanitation, and hygiene.
Others include saving mothers and children, supporting education, growing local economies and protecting the environment.
