Tooro Premier Bernard Tungakwo Resigns Just Hours Before Release Of New Cabinet By King Oyo

Tooro Prime Minister who is also chairman of prime forum Bernard Tungwako has resigned just hours before release of new cabinet by King Oyo.

King Oyo is expected to release new cabinet Friday, 26 August 2022, according to our reliable sources with in the palace.

In his resignation letter, Tungwako said he decided to step down in order to enable him prepare for service in another role.

He also states that he wanted to avoid conflict of interest ”since the new assignment is at national level in the cultural fraternity.’

”I am grateful for the period that it has been my privilege to serve Tooro in this position and for the trust you placed in me during this time. I will continue to promote and support the cause and interests of Tooro Kingdom in my new assignments and will where possible remain available for consultation to the person that you shall chose as my replacement,” Tungwako wrote.

However, some officials in the Kingdom have told TheSpy Uganda that Tungwako’s letter is just full of excuses because there’s no such a a position both in Tooro kingdom and in the gender and culture ministry. ”He did this to avoid embarrassing the King,” says the source.

This site has also learnt that in King Oyo’s new cabinet, Tungwako was dropped as this was his second term and therefore when got information, he decided to resign other than being kicked out.
