Kampala: The Katuukiro of Busoga Kingdom Dr. Joseph Muvawala has landed in things after being appointed as the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Gender and Social Development.
Dr. Muvawala is now replacing Pius Birigimana, who was appointed Secretary to the Judiciary a few days ago, to replace Kagole Kivumbi.
News of Muvawala’s appointment started circulating on Friday night and by Sunday morning our Spies had already confirmed it.
He will perform the ministerial duties along his other duties as Prime Minister for his majesty William Nadiope Gabula II, the Kyabazinga of Busoga Kingdom.
Muvawala has in the past served government in various capacities, serving as chairman National Planning Authority, Chief country Economist at African Development Bank and was previously working with the Uganda Investment Authority. He is a public sector economist with a PhD in economics.
