King Mumbere Fires Prime Minister Muranga In Major Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu Cabinet Reshuffle

In a significant leadership shake-up, His Majesty Charles Wesley Mumbere Irimangoma, King of Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu, has dismissed Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Kule Muranga and appointed a new executive team to guide the kingdom into a new era.

The newly appointed Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. Benson Kule Baritazale, was sworn in alongside his deputies—Rt. Hon. Muhesi Patrick as First Deputy Prime Minister and Rt. Hon. Best Ferigo as Second Deputy Prime Minister.

During the cabinet address, His Majesty urged the new leaders to uphold the Constitution of Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu and serve with integrity, unity, and mutual respect.

“Ministers must respect one another to ensure effective service delivery,” emphasized King Mumbere.

The monarch also expressed gratitude to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for the financial support extended to the kingdom. Additionally, he appealed to the government to fulfill its pledges concerning medical treatment for himself and Her Highness Agnes Ithungu.

The newly appointed cabinet members expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to serve and pledged to focus on the development and rebranding of the kingdom.

“We are focusing on five key pillars aimed at peace, unity, and transformation of the kingdom,” noted Prime Minister Baritazale.

Second Deputy Prime Minister Best Ferigo also committed to collaborating with humanitarian organizations to combat early marriages, which she described as a growing threat to youth in the Rwenzori sub-region.

“This is a battle for our children’s future. We must act,” she declared.

This strategic cabinet reshuffle is widely seen as a bold and timely move by King Mumbere to reinvigorate the kingdom’s leadership and reaffirm its dedication to progress, constitutional governance, and the well-being of its people.
