Police Confirms Arrest Of Rubaga Bodaboda Killer Seen On CCTV Camera

Kampala: A key suspect in the gruesome murder of a Bodaboda motorcyclist has finally been arrested.
The murder of Derrick Mulindwa in Mengo which was captured on a CCTV camera shocked the nation when it was circulated on social media.

According to the Police Spokesperson SP Onyango Patrick, the suspect  identified as Mugisha John Bosco alias Mukiga alledged to have been one in the video with his colleague called Young Mulo (not the musician) was arrested at Nsiike I, Ndeeba, Rubaga Division, Kampala last night 16/07/2019 after a tip-off.

John Bosco Mugisha and his colleague were caught on CCTV footage killing a rider and robbing his motorcycle.

Police in a press release say, Mugisha admitted that he and his colleague Young Mulo (not the musician) killed Derrick Mulindwa in Mengo on 30th June 2019”.

Mugisha also told Police that Young Mulo was killed on 3rd July 2019 by a mob that accused him of stealing a motorcycle in Mityana.
“We robbed a motorcycle from Mityana on 2nd July, 2019 and they traced up to Makindye in Kampala where a mob killed Mulo and I escaped by chance to Kabale,”Mugisha said.

A Police press release confirming Mugisha’s arrest

Mr. Patrick Onyango reveals that Mugisha has been arrested several times and sent to Luzira on robbery charges.

Mugisha is currently detained at Katwe Police pending transfer to old Kampala Police Station.

Police say Mugisha will face murder and aggravated robbery charges.
