Police FC On Form As they Hammer Red Eagles

KAMPALA, Police: FC seem to be of form following a thriller game that saw them hammer Red Eagles, Express Football Club.

Two goals by Juma Balinya and Johnson Odong shamed Express at the hands of visitors, Police FC at the Mutesa II stadium, Wankulunkuku. The two sides started on a slow but the visitors seemed in control with Ashraf Mugume and Hassan Gaata Kalega controlling the midfield. The second half was a thriller when as seconds tickled the hour brought smiles on the face of the visitors. Edgar Bwogi stole possession inside his own half, passed to Odong who released Pius Kagwa on the right. Odong missed an opportunity to double the lead when he volleyed over the bar from close range.

Abdallah Mubiru had made a forced change with Simon Mbaziira replacing injured Arafat Galiwango as the first half ended 1-0 in favour of the visitors. The second half was no different as the six time champions searched for the leveller with Tony Odur coming on for Ibrahim Kayiwa but the Cops looked confident in possession and often threatened on the counter. Mubiru introduced Samuel Kayongo and later Basani Saafi and the latter joined the fray in a late goal when he passed to Balinya who laid for Odong to finish calmly.
