President Yoweri Friday Morning ‘silently’ dashed to Nakasero Hospital to check on speaker of parliament Rt.Hon.Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga who has been admitted and is reportedly in critical condition!

Spy Uganda has learnt from reliable sources at the hospital that the 64 year old law maker is in fact under Intensive Care Unit (ICU), though it remains a top secret, and that’s the main reason why Ssabalwanyi (president Museveni) dashed there after learning that his long-time strong political ally could be in much more danger than is being reported.

Press secretary to the president Don Wanyama confirmed to the press that indeed the president visited the speaker at her hospital bed this morning but added it was ‘a private visit’.

Meanwhile, Speaker’s office has denied that their boss is very sick as reported. Her principal press secretary, Sam Obbo, in a statement released on Friday said Kadaga got admitted on due to ‘fatigue-related illnesses’.

According to Obbo, the speaker got a jet-lag having had a hectic schedule traveling from Morocco and United States nonstop, causing serious fatigue.

“The Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Rebecca Kadaga, is currently being managed by doctors at Nakasero Hospital, in Kampala, over fatigue-related illness. She was admitted yesterday soon after her return from a hectic working tour to Morocco and the United States of America.

While abroad, she steadfastly advocated for better policies for women and children in Uganda and across the globe.

Due to the hectic work schedule, fatigue and jetlag, she has had to be admitted in hospital.

We hope her privacy will be respected during this period. We wish her speedy recovery,” read Obbo’s statement.

Kadaga was in New York for the 63rd UN Commission on the Status of Women which is ending today. Prior to the meeting, she had attended the 14th session of the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Conference (PUOIC) in Rabat, Morocco.
