Proline FC’s Anukani Wins Real Sports Monthly Award For September

Uganda Cranes U20 and  Proline midfielder Bright Anukani  was recognized as the best player of the month of September 2019, during a function held at the Uganda Manufacturers Association (UMA) grounds on Thursday.


He won the Real Stars Sports Monthly Award, an award sponsored by Jude Colour Solutions with an aim of motivating young footballers and encouraging them to add more effort so as to uplift their career.


Anukani won award for the following achievements he made recently;

He has been a key to the success of the national team and his team Proline FC.

He was a major force in the Uganda Vs Burundi match where the Cranes won 3-0 in the first league of CHAN 2020 qualifiers held Bujumbura. As a strong player he led to Proline FC into the second round of CAF confederations Cup after making a draw of 1-1 with AS Kigali team in Rwanda.


Not only those but he also helped Proline FC win the trophy after beating Rwanda a 2-1 in the return league held in Kampala.

Anukani also helped Uganda Hippos team by scoring a goal which led them to the quarter finals of CECAFA U20 challenge Cup.

 While speaking to TheSpy Uganda Anukani he said that his dream is one day to find himself playing for FC Barcelona.


“My dream is to play outside Uganda, in Europe of course and more so FC Barcelona; the team I like and support, I will work hard to realise it,” Anukani said.


Other great Sportsmen awarded were Kirabo Namutebi, best swimmer of the month of September after her three medals in swimming (one bronze and two gold) which she won at the Africa Junior Swimming Championships in Tunisia and in Motocross, Alan Orland was awarded as best rider of the month of September.
