UPDF Mourns Third Fallen Bush War Fighter, Gen Erick Mukasa

Kampala: In less than a month Uganda Peoples Defence Forces have lost another high ranking officer-TheSpy Uganda Reports.

This has been confirmed by Brig. Richard Karemire, the UPDF spokesperson who said Gen Mukasa died on Thursday morning at Nakasero Hospital, Kampala.

“We have lost yet another gallant general officer,” said Gen Karemire adding that Maj Gen Mukasa was sick for some time.

Gen. Eric Mukasa was serving as Uganda People’s Defense Forces Chief of Staff of the Reserve Forces.

The development comes just hours after the death of Brigadier General, Victor Maregano Twesigye, Uganda’s Defence liaison officer at EAC headquarters in Arusha Tanzania.

The army says Brig Twesigye died on Thursday morning from his home in Nyarushanje Kisiizi Rukungiri after he slid in the bathroom and died instantly.

Not only him but also UPDF general, Brig. Gen Jackson Bell Tushabe, one of the National Resistance Army daredevil fighters also died this week.

Last month also Maj. Gen. (rtd) Kasirye Ggwanga, died at Nakasero hospital on June 9 after a successful operation to remove a blood clot in one of the vessels in his head.
